Now I am compelled to recommend the book Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers. Your daughter is probably a little young, but if she’s into the macabre— this book is the perfect mix of macabre and science. Also— love the bathroom.

I know this book! Excellent suggestion! Who knows - may spark a future professional interest in mortuary science! Steady work and if you are not great at your work, no worries! You get to bury your mistakes!

You know what the ef is great about you?

Your decision to maintain being true to yourself as often as possible in your career.

You bring yourself. When there's less work, it's probably because you're less compromising more often than not.

Communities heal as the individuals heal.

Springtime is here 💚

I suffer from chronic depression anyway, and I REFUSE to give in to deeper depression this year, as sucky as it is.

I think we're all overwhelmed right now. I choose to seek for those little glimmers of hope and embrace them, to navigate through the bad. The bad will soon go away in time.

Hang in there and keep an eye out for those glimmers!

Thank you for sharing, reading this made me feel a lot better. Sorry to read about your cat. My old cat passed away at the end of Jan and I have been pretty depressed (after an initial moment of thinking, wow i thought i would be more depressed!?) haha/ughhhhh...

I appreciate you sending out an update that shows the world all the messiness of what's happening in your life right now. I think a lot of times people think that celebrities are immune to what's going on in the world. Hoping that life gets easier for you and your family (my family is currently dealing with some nasty cold that JUST won't go away). Ugh.

Love the bathroom! And I can totally relate about doing one thing you can control, giving you a feeling of accomplishment and allowing you to continue to something more. Thanks for sharing your struggles, making it easier for others to share their own.

I appreciate you sharing the struggles. And also hoe you beat them. My win has been playing split fiction with my soon to be 12 year old. I’m simply having the best time 🥰

I went to Guedelon while the walls where being built. Great experience. Now there is still nice things to see but not as massively impressive. (still worth it)

The blacksmith shop got me to realise how much work there would be to restart everything from scratch even with a full copy of wikipedia, schematics and explainations about everything we use today and how it was made. If would take centuries anyway.

There was a dye show, stonecutters and a rope shop. Fascinating what is behind everything. (in their medieval versions. Today it is even more complex)

I agree with you whole heartedly on 2025. I quit a job i hate and am trying to get to another job before funds run out. Its been rough but trying to look at the positive. Getting up and doing stuff is a challenge, but I feel better once I do! Really just want to say that your posts and interactions are a bright spot in many peoples day including mine!

Your journey and posts have inspired me to look into and start a path to voice acting.

I have been sick for weeks so i missed the Guild musical! I'm going to have to look into what i missed!

You're awesome!

I know it sounds cliche but focus on the great time you have had and the wonderful roles you have done. Would the 20 something version of you have the same opportunities now? Believe me, it's easier said than done to remind yourself what you should be grateful for when things seem somber around every turn. One remedy that helps me: Watch some MST3K :)
