Let's Get Saucy!
2025/2026 End of year stuff. I promise it won't be self-help-y but maybe a touch.
I’m trying to simplify everything in my life, especially the way I think about myself. REALITY: I’m a middle-aged mom who wears too many nerdy graphic tees and some people recognize occasionally for my work and I’ve decided that all of those things are awesome. I want to focus on embracing myself AS-IS going forward because boiling who you are down to the basics and accepting those things is the best way to appreciate life to the fullest IMO.
This is my current theory and I stand by it, wearing dirty workout pants and all.
If you can embrace yourself, then when the world tries to dilute you, it’s easier to stay centered and focused. You’re able to maintain the purity of your personal sauce.
Um…ew. Terribly writing, Felicia. Just awful.
ANYWAY, rather than list elaborate goals for next year, I decided to share my amazing “2025 TA-DA!” list instead and hope you get inspired to do one as well. A Ta-Da list takes stock of all the wonderful things you did over the last year, and are worth celebrating to PUMP YOU UP for 2026!!
My 2025 Ta-Da List:
After five years of development, “The Guild” musical reading went amazingly well in March, and set the stage for our being able to perform it in London next Feb!
The “Bailey” audio feature was released and thousands of you enjoyed it, TY!!!!
JUST finished “The Guild” movie first draft, woot! Onto rewrites!
Finished “The Lost Daughter of Sparta” graphic novel. Who knew it would take five years?! But it’s done and coming out next year!
Kept my Twitch streams consistent, our community raised over $15k for Papayago Rescue House bird rescue charity in Atlanta for my birthday <3
Booked a role in a TV pilot! “Eerie Academy” was such an amazing experience, I am crossing my fingers we get to do more.
Moved my kid from a school she hated. She starts a new one in Jan. I backed her up, despite the stress and expense, and am super proud of that as a mom.
Swore off writing or producing for Hollywood for a while, maybe forever, and felt a burden lift that has been creatively rewarding in the best way ← HARDEST BUT BEST THING OF YEAR
See, stupid inner perfectionist Felicia? You did stuff!
Now let’s do next year! What are you looking forward to? Here’s my list!
Personal Things I’m Excited For 2026:
I will be announcing “The Guild” movie fundraiser early in the year, start the actual campaign in the summer and shoot the movie in the winter (hopefully). Biggest project I’ve done in over a decade. I’M NERVOUS!
My convention appearances will be all around the world next year. Check my personal website for growing dates as events are announced.
“The Lost Daughter of Sparta” will release March 17th, 2026. Book tour!!!!
Taking my daughter to Japan for my birthday. BUCKET LIST TRIP!
Planning to make a physical “Death Binder” for my family in case something happens to me. Yay macabre organization!

Book of the Month:
I recently got a preview copy “No Friend to this House” by Natalie Haynes and made it my holiday reading. It releases in the US March 30th (already out in UK). She is one of my favorite authors, I adore her Greek myth retellings. This installment about Medea is just perfection. Highly recommend a pre-order!
